Pacific Hwy/Overlook with free RV parking
Hello all, a couple of years back a coworker mentioned an Overlook/Parking Area that looks over the Ocean on West Coast somewhere. He said it was free with “first come, first serve” and for one night only. Is anyone familiar with this area and if so willing to provide more details? Thanks, Heidy

Probably referring to the Rincon Annex which is near Ventura. Beautiful spot but no longer free and operated as a county park if I recall. No hookups and always crowded.

The entire Oregon coast is public land and they allow camping at highway pull-overs.
Oregon also has extensive forest service very near the southern coast. Views are less common that way.

He's talking about Ventura, California
Some pullover places on 101 have a sign "No Overnight". Otherwise, it's 12 hr. max. and the rule states for 'resting'; not camping.
