I would skip Horseshoe Bend, and make a day trip to Goosenecks State Park just across the border in Utah. Much more impressive scenery, and you can drive your rig right to it. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f38/goose...ah-300156.html

Definitely lots to see in that area. Would definitely recommend the all day boat tour to Rainbow Bridge NM.

X2 on Wahweap Marina campground. We stayed 2 days, did the raft trip from the base of the dam to Lee's Ferry. Highly recommend it!

Speaking of Lee's Ferry. We camped at Lee's Ferry CG in October and thoroughly enjoyed it. No hookups of course.
