Phoenix Area RV Parks Recommendations
We, along with 2 other MH's are planning to head to the Phoenix area to visit friends and family. We're all beginners basically in this area so don't have personal knowledge of any decent parks and what to expect in availability. Can anyone give us some potential parks which have good amenities and might be available? This trip is somewhat of a trial run to see if we will make this a habit in the future. We'll likely want to be in the area for maybe a week at the most, then likely head to the Tucson area for a short stay also.
Thanks in advance.

Kinda depends on where in the metroplex your friends and family live..
Phoenix traffic is not novice friendly..

Between the three of us rigs our friends and family are scattered around the entire area so our location probably doesn't matter.

You didn't mention when - this is a busy time for RV parks with all of the snowbirds. There are really a lot of choices, looking as suggested at the link form RV Park Reviews is a good start.
When we stay in the area we stay at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort. It is the closest nice park to Sun City Grand where our friends are. (Peoria area - west of Phoenix proper)
You should be able to get all three of you in there even during the busiest time of the year. Probably will not be next to each other, but close enough I suppose. Lots of amenities to keep everyone busy. Also not the cheapest but not terrible either. Make sure you have more than 25 feet of water hose

Very difficult through March, when most parks are full of snowbirds and if they do have openings want to rent for the entire month. If desperate, try Westworld of Scottsdale. In season you will have to buy a ticket to one of the events they have there, but of course you don't have to attend. Just big parking lots with water and electric.

The Maricopa County parks have awesome campgrounds. We've stayed in all of them. Our favorites are Usery and McDowell.
Lost Dutchman State Park is another favorite of ours.

We stayed at Desert's Edge RV Village. It seems as good a choice as any. On the north side of the city.

there are so many choices. there must be 20 parks in mesa alone (east side). some of them have 1500 or more sites. they have tons of amenities. multiple pools, tennis, pickle ball, crafts, restaurants / bars, etc. there are more on the west side and more up on the north side

We flew out here for a long weekend. About 35 miles north is Lake Pleasant RV and marina. It’s really gorgeous and inexpensive. It’s $32 for full hookups, $22 for partial, and $15 for boondocking. It’s part of the Maricopa regional parks.

There is a Lake Pleasant regional park but also a RV park with a marina which isn't part of the regional park..... I don't believe.

Like 2gypsies we like the county parks but if that’s not what your looking for we’ve also stayed at Pioneer Park in Anthem off I 17. It’s on the north side but it’s easy to go east or west with the loops.
