Pick 2 of 3 in New Brunswick and PEI
We have 6 weeks to explore the Canadian Maritime provinces for the first time this summer. For the first couple of weeks, I’m trying to allocate time in New Brunswick and PEI. More places to explore than time allows!
If you had to pick two of these three, which would you choose?
1) Fundy Bay National Park, NB
2) Prince Edward Island National Park, PEI
3) South Kouchibouguac National Park, NB
I know our style and preferences may differ from yours, so I’m not asking what we should do, but what you would do!

Six weeks should do PEI & NB just fine. Maybe enough time to do NS as well.
We did PEI for about 10 days last year. The big destination was Newfoundland. Almost six weeks there. Special place.

Also consider Kiwanis Oceanfront CG in St. Andrews by the Sea, NB. After checkin and given site number, we were asked if we wanted cooked lobster delivered to our site. Heck yeah! Also Site 10 has ocean view and it’s a very nice town to walk around.

I’ve been to all 3
If you have a big rig (sorry can’t see your signature), Kouchibouguac is extremely tight and power is limited to 30 amp. However, the dunes and dark sky are amazing.
Fundy national park is great. If you stay in the Headquarters campground it’s an easy walk into Alma for some lobster and some exploring at low tide.
I would avoid PEI national park for camping. PEI’s provincial parks are way better (in my personal opinion). Have a look at something like RedPoint or Panmure island (the park isn’t on the island). Clean, 50 amp service and less people.
I could also suggest Twin shores campground on PEI - which is private but an easy drive to the national parks - though the beach at twin shores is every bit as nice and you can get better ice cream!
It’s a beautiful part of Canada and wherever you end up staying I know you’re gonna love it. Just don’t miss the Hopewell rocks while you’re at Fundy.

Thanks Gladie! I’ll add those recommendations to our list of possibilities!

And if you have time when you’re on PEI, I can highly recommend this experience. My wife and I did it last year and it was an absolute blast and a zen experience at the same time. I had almost forgotten how fun it is to spend hours digging in the sand!

UPDATE: thanks everyone! We have decided to cut Kouchibouguac from our itinerary. That should make it less hectic and allow us more leisure time to explore the other places on our itinerary. You know what I’m saying… scheduling time to be spontaneous! LOL
