Point of View RV Park in Key Largo Closing

Probably not news, but we stayed in Point of View RV on the way down to Blue Water Key RV park last week. Just found out that POV is sold and closing around Sept 2016. What a shame! While we like Blue Water more, POV was pretty nice and a good alternative to John Pettycamp, which like most Florida State Parks can be challenging to get a reservation for. I guess the land value was greater than the income potential and the forces of economic nature took hold. Really a shame, the place is only a few years old.

Worker there estimated she had 4.5-5m in the buying/building of the resort, she sold it for 11.3m!

How could you say no to that?
I remember your thread now. Didn't put it together till after my wife told me someone in the office told them it was closing and the owner had already left the country.
