This is ridiculous and unenforceable.
The time and cost of collecting and running the samples is not the issue but testing each random piece of excrement.
Sounds like an urban myth.
I know here in Los Angeles there have been homeowner disputes that are dealt with this way but it's not a practical application for short term lodging.
Either way OP please tell us which park this was so we cal all avoid it.

You have dog owners to thank for that policy. I bet that's a clean park.

I will never stay in a park with that policy. I did stay in one park in Canada that had a pet fee, $5 a day I think. When we were checking out I noticed on the bill the pet fee was was refunded. I asked them about it and they said their grounds keepers had reported that I picked after my dog. I would stay there again.

I figured a $5 per day pet fee was solely to defray the cost of adding dog runs, restocking poop bags on the dispenser posts, and adding staffing for collecting the added waste cans scattered around. I don't mind paying the fee...it's not something the non-pet owner should have to cough up.

DNA tests??? Wow...now that's going a bit crazy. We haven't encountered anything like that yet...

I think if I did stay there (only if nothing else was available), I'd poop in a sack and dump it on the site on my way out. Let them run DNA on that!

As long as you're not offended when the security cam footage is posted on the 6 o'clock news...with a promo piece about how Doggie DNA testing can also detect human DNA.

Chances are...if they go to the extreme of doing a swab on your dog...they have cameras too... Just sayin'... And after they record that...they'll be wanting to swab thier human guests as well..

Dog poop

Now here's something I've never run into in all my years of motorhoming !!
Checking dog DNA ? I'd love to know how that gets done that fast.

I mind, a lot.

At least I will until they implement a per child fee. After all I'm sure the playground and cleaning up after them will cost the c/g a lot more than the dogs will.

I think if I owned a RV park and I had to pay someone to pickup after a dog I would be looking for ways to enforce the rules about picking up after pets.

I just stayed there and paid the fee

We just stayed there and would stay there again and we paid the fee.

There is limited info on the website about this but when you call they will explain everything. Everything was understood before we arrived.

About 30 minutes after we arrived someone showed up with paperwork and took a cheek swab of our dog.

It is a $75 fine and they will charge your credit card. They are serious about this as I met a 30 year resident who said she got caught and fined.

FWIW I saw no stray poo anywhere including the dog run areas.

I guess no one has the nerve to give the name of this CG. Maybe it is an Urban Tall Tale!
