Privately owned RV sites?
Anyone ever rented a private RV site from an individual? Specifically on the Gulf coast? Looking for a month or so this coming winter.

Yep, sure did and it worked out great. Twice we've rented directly from owners at Outdoor Resorts in Indio, Ca for a total of four months. We got their ads from the FMCA on line classifieds.
Renting directly from the owners allowed us to negotiate the use of their outdoor kitchen and patio furniture.

Yep. Cypress Woods in Fort Myers. Very nice, not as nice as Pelican Lake, but a lot cheaper.

Do a Google search for Private RV site rentals.
Here is one for an example: RV lots for rent.

Renting a privately owned RV lot
We own 2 lots at Nature Coast Landings RV resort just north of Crystal River, FL. Although all lots are privately owned, many are rented out through the office, and some are privately listed on other advertising sites, like Rv Properties.com. Most owners don't want to tie their lot up for 1 month if you want Jan or Feb, as that would eliminate them getting a 4-6 month winter rental. However, the park will take reservations for any amount of time, as I imagine most ownership parks will. I think you will find most ownership parks are very nice parks, the lots are usually more spacious, and there is usually a more peaceful atmosphere with less in & out traffic, because most folks are there for 1-6 months or more. I know we have many renters who come back year after year. Most of our owners were renters first, and liked it so much that they bought.
