Quartzsite 2016 camping recommendations

We'd like to visit Quartzsite for a few days in January and see what the hub-bub is all about. I know there is a lot of boon docking going on and I'm fine with that but I don't mine paying if I can be closer to the action and just ride bikes or walk to attractions.

Looking for campground recommendations that close in and easy to get in and out of.

The only time we stayed in Quartzsite (Feb.2011) , we stayed at, Quail's Run RV Park 928-927-8810 , Good Sam park.
It's a little north of the Big Tent ; maybe a mile; on AZ-95 , but it would be a short bike ride. ( best way to get around, during any of the shows there, traffic is a nightmare).

Be prepared.. . . the RV parks in Quartzsite are probably not what you're used to. They are solid gravel parking lots. If you don't need hookups for a few days, there's plenty of room just parking for free in the surrounding desert. Thousands and thousands do it.

Also, plan to come during the so-called 'RV Show' which usually begins mid-January if you really want to experience Quartzsite.

Quail Run will be maybe the nicest park in town. Pull thru's. Located at north end of town West side of street.

We always stay here....can walk to the big tent and Tyson Wells Swap Meet. FHU and large sites....not much else though. We like to stay along the highway so we can watch all the different kinds of rigs going by.
