Recommendations for Orlando near Universal?

Hi,

We are dropping the daughter off at college around August 14th at Stetson, and despite the heat, we want to spend a few days at Universal Studios. 30ft TT is our rig. Any suggestions? Proximity is most important to us...

Thanks,
Dave

It's pricey, but Fort Wilderness at WDW is hard to beat for the experience. Universal is just a short hop up I-4.

We are also in Orlando frequently and love Bill Frederick Park run by the city of Orlando. Overnight fees are very reasonable and a lot of sites have full hookups, including 50 Amp. It is just off International Drive, half way between Orlando and Disney and very close to Universal.

ETA rate for full hookups is $25, 20 for elect and water and they do have openings on the weekend you want. Take some levelers with you as many of the sites are not too level.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up booking KOA Kissimmee. Fort wilderness was expensive, and the city park lacked a pool.
