Recommendations for Palm Desert/Coachella for Jan 2023
We have been spending winters in the Keys for the past several years, , next year, I was thinking about heading west and staying in the Palm Desert area for the month of January and them maybe over to Lake Havasu for Feb.
Any recommendations for an upscale place to stay at ?

We stayed few nights at Indian Waters last spring and liked it. I posted a review here if you search for it. I am not sure it is upscale as I am usually in a national park or a national forest. Last minute change due to snow in Joshua Tree NP. People were nice, sites were nice, club house, pickle ball, pool, hot tub, showers, way more than I am used to.

I called them and it was Interesting that they don't take reservations for Jan 2023 until next summer.. Where we stay in Florida, the sites are already booked into mid-year 2023.

Well, they (Motorcoach CC) finally opened up reservations for 2023.... and the few that are available are the low end, unimproved lots..... what other top of the line places would you suggest ? If I'm going to drive 2300 miles, I want to get a really, really nice place.
I am going to be at Lake Havasu until the 18th of Feb, so I'd be looking at getting to Indio area around Feb 19 and stay for 2-3 weeks.

Emerald RV Resort is on Frank Sinatra Dr at Eldorado in Palm Desert. We've never stayed here but have walked our dogs through the park many times when we lived nearby. It's not an average RV park by any means and they do enforce RV age restrictions/conditions.

EDIT - I see that they have a few spots left for February, starting at $3862.74 for the 28 days!

Outdoor resorts Indio is likely what you are looking for. Outdoor Resorts Palm Springs is also very nice but the neighborhood isn’t. Both have nice executive Par three golf courses, clubhouses, pools and activities. The entire area has multiple entertainment options. Casinos, shows, upscale shopping, high end golf courses, fabulous dining etc. Emerald Desert gets wicked train noise and is not comparable to either of the Outdoor Resorts parks or Motorcoach Country Club.

We stayed at Indian Waters RV resort in Indio which is nearby and very much enjoyed our stay. There's a really nice pool, clubhouse, and activities if you are interested. The park was well maintained, and quite roomy. indianwatersrvresort.com
Lake Havasu can be crowded, but we chose to stay at Cattail Cove State Park about 10 minutes south. We really liked this park. It is not upscale, but does have roomy sites, with water and electric. It also has a private beach with beautiful views of the river.
