Redwood Forest day trip suggestions from San Francisco??

Staying in San Francisco for a couple of days. Really wanna see some Redwoods...looking for suggestions on an easy Redwood Forest day trip. Thanks!

go to " Trees of Mystery " and take the drive on "Avenue of the Giants " it's a great drive. use to be able to drive through a Red Wood tree. very scenic

Muir Woods is an easy day trip from SF and has some big trees. On weekends the parking lot fills up so best to get there early.

Sorry for the late reply to this... South of SF is Big Basin Redwood State Park. If you like hiking, there is theSkyline to the Sea Tail.

I think the avenue if the giants is a little more than a nice day trip from SF.
