Reno and freezing

We drove up to Reno Friday with 30 MPH side winds and now it's in the 40s here. We came up for the NV State track meet to see our grand daughter compete. Staying at the Grand Sierra RV Resort, nice park but it should be for $45 a night. Supposed to be getting snow showers here tomorrow so we are heading south.

Vegasdan, What's the elevation in Reno? Getting late in the season for snow I would think but Glacier will still be snowed in until after the 4th of July ...

Reno is about 4200 elev, we are park hosts at Washoe Lake State Park, between Reno & Carson City, elevation 5000. We got snow & sleet showers last night and yes, it's late for this area. A really cool spring. Hope it warms up soon!

we're in Southeastern Oregon camping right now and have snow. It started last night and this morning we woke up to a couple of inches. It snowed most of the morning but most has melted but more is coming tonight. Low last night was 29. We're at about 5000 ft. It's a lot colder than home (Yuma)!

Well, we have been cold since we left Texas, and even in some parts of Texas we were cold. COME ON SUMMER! (Except Texas - stay spring - Oh! The two weeks of spring are most likely over with by now.)

I can tell you that I checked the weather and that the temps are running about thirty degrees cooler than normal in the Sacramento Valley

We left Reno Sunday AM in the sunshine, cool but not bad. By the time we hit Fallon we had snow flurries and 20 MPH NW winds. By the time we hit Tonopah the wind was so bad I had to stand behind the diesel pump while fueling, to top off the wind the price was $3.35 gallon. We ran in and out of rain squalls all the way to Las Vegas.

Glad you escaped into some (hopefully) warmer weather. We are getting tired of this view!

my son has competed in cross country and track meets since he was in the 5th grade - he is now a college freshman. We have noticed that there are 2 temps for these meets - really cold and really hot!!

Hope your grand daughter does/did well!
