Good Morning All,
We are headed to Asheville, NC the first week in December and will be staying at the KOA Asheville East. Stayed there about 4 years ago on the way back from a trip to Maine and really enjoyed the area...including the Biltmore.

Now we are going back with several local camping buddies so the ladies can see the Biltmore all decorated for Christmas and we already have our Candlelight Tour tickets in hand.

Two of us are driving our motorhomes and since we will only have 3 days there, we aren't going to tow our Toads up, instead we will share a rental car.

Any recommendations as to the best place to get a rental at the best deal in Asheville. I don't rent vehicles very often so I'm not really up to date on all the deals, coupons, etc. Have AARP, Good Sam's, etc and understand that they have some deals worked out with some companies that may help a bit on the price.

Will be wanting to pick up the car on a Thursday afternoon and return it on Sunday morning as we are leaving the area. I have used Enterprise before and I think they have an intown location and could probably get them to deliver the car on Thursday and allow a drop-off on Sunday when they are closed but am a little concerned about leaving the vehicle without a 'check-in' to confirm no damage on it.

Any and all suggestions, recommendations, etc will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Having rented cars for over 35 years, I have never had a problem leaving them. If you are concerned take a dated picture of it on the lot from all 4 sides. That will prove you returned it in the same shape as you got it.

Good idea, Corvette Man. Thanks. At least that would give you a leg to stand on.

You use any of the coupons, discounts, etc to get a better deal than the posted rates? So much of that kind of stuff out there that it would be a shame to miss out on if they really work.
