Renting an RV at Fort Wilderness

Does anyone have any experience renting an RV from one of the companies that advertises specifically for use at Fort Wilderness? Limited time off from work and school does not allow for us to tow our RV down the east coast but we’d love to to camp there. Renting an RV from an outside vendor seems cheaper than renting a cabin from Disney, but we would be interested in hearing about others experiences doing that.

I replied twice, but I mentioned other forums which I didn't know wasn't allowed. There are a few companies that rent at the Fort; some are better than others. Call the Fort Wilderness front desk. They have approved renters and I am sure they will give you helpful info.

Thanks. I saw one of the replies before it disappeared. I briefly looked at the rental company and was interested but now I’ve forgotten the company’s name!

Yes, I rented from a place called floridacamperrentals.com a few years ago and had a good experience. If I remember correctly they made the reservation and everything for me at Fort Wilderness, all I had to was just show up. It was the first time my wife had stayed in an RV so we wanted to try this before making our purchase. They also provided a golf cart for about half the price than Disney. Overall it was a great experience
