Rest Area overnight in Banff

Does anyone know if the rest areas or maybe the Welcome Center in Banff will allow an overnight?

Not likely right in Banff.

Your best bet might be in Canmore.

What type of RV?

I'm reasonably sure they don't , or they would be packed 24/7.

The Alberta tourism site may have the info you want.

40ft MH. I will drive to Calgary Wally World if I need to but was hoping for something closer to Banff. We are booked there for two weeks but 9/1 is the only night I couldn’t get a spot.

What about Lake Louise ski area parking lot. Do you think I could crash there for a night?

The gate would probably be closed and locked for the summer. Try Canmore visitor center.

If you have to head towards Calgary there are RV sites at Calaway Park.

Heading to Calgary from Canmore it is on the right hand side of the highway just about 20 miles outside of the city. Saves you a trip right into the city.

The campground is part of a small amusement park. And there is a large RV dealer right next door. (Guarantee RV)

Sorry. Just saw your post. There is an over flow lot at the Lake Louise visitor center. Pay station. Since we just need one night we are going to park there.
