Rest area with hookup ???
Somewhere in our travels last year we stopped for fuel at an interstate rest area/gas station ( I - 80) .... they also had a section with RV hookups. I'm thinking it was in Indiana, illinois or Iowa..... any ideas ? Will be heading out that way again later this year and thought it might work out for a good overnight stop

The Ohio Turnpike has 4 RV lots in each direction, one at every other rest area.
Info can be found here.

I have a 36' Suncruiser towing a 2014 Equinox (used to be grand cherokee) so I'm well over 40 '. Use them every year on trip to east coast. If you angle across the site, you'll fit. This applies to rest area at Toledo rest area (mm75?), not at mm138 which is a back in They are the only 2 I've tried.

I'll be heading west..... I'm towing a truck so my total length is 65' ... I can unhook the truck, if I can park side by side, it the slots are wide enough .

Toledo mm76.9 should work. I've seen 5th wheels disconnect and park the truck beside the 5th wheel. Of course I don't have final say . I've also never seen anyone patrolling the RV area.

You can try it, but I was at 40’ in my old MH and felt as though my nose was sticking out a little bit into the travel lane. This was in a back-in spot. I don’t even try it in my DS. I have found Harvest Host locations in the vicinity of where I used to stop in the rest areas.

It's not a rest stop per se, but Loves is rapidly installing RV spots with hookups all over the US. Some are very cheap ($20) some are more expensive depending on the location.
Plus, you can reserve online.
They do try to locate them away from the truck parking - but some places are too small to offer much separation.
