RV Park Reviews - Trusted Reviews of Campgrounds & RV Parks is what we use to plan/find campgrounds.

Take you time getting there - SC and Georgia have nice economical places to spend early winter/early spring. This could free up some funds for a nicer Florida place to hole up during the 2 months of cold winter.

Most of all - enjoy the retirement you earned. Don't over plan - go with the flow :>)

We did the explore Florida thing last winter. Then ended up renting a site for 12 months this year in the north central part of the state. Cost is about $11/day plus elec. We will end up staying a total of 9 months. Monthly rates in season run $650-700. There are cheaper parks, but it all depends on location, amenities, and the type of park you want to stay in.

The park we stay at is full Dec. thru Feb.

We were at Waters Edge Resort in Zephyrhills Feb-Mar 16. The monthly cost was $525, plus electricity that ran me about $90. We did use our washer and dryer and ran the AC when DW got hot.

My brother stays at Arbor Terrace in Bradenton and I think it's $1,200. to $1,500 during peak time
