Riverbend RV Resort

Was just wondering if anyone had ever had an extended stay at Riverbend Resort in LaBelle Florida. Going to semi retire at the end of this year and we were looking for a higher end RV spot to spend next January and February. Would appreciate any comments that you might have.

Congratulations on your upcoming retirement. Most Florida RV parks require a 3 month minimum stay during winter if you are staying longer than 2 weeks. Call them for the best current information,as RV park websites tend to be neglected. I've never stayed in LaBelle, have stayed at Clewiston, only once, because these places are about 50 miles from the nearest big city.

Hi DRL1950,
Riverbend is 17 miles east of I-75. I-75 is where suburban Ft. Myers begins. It is on a river. The residents and guests are very sociable. One could say it is a party resort. There are many activities. The resort is very well maintained. Bottom line is it depends on what you want. There are many CGs/Resorts in the Ft. Myers area. All have their own flavor.

We had stopped in to look around. A very well kept community. They also have sales etc

I would agree with the party and social community

It is an outstanding resort, a ten in every respect except location. It is in a remote area and you can't run to the store easily. No big selection of nearby restaurants, etc. If that is not a problem for you, it can hardly be beat.

Thanks

Thanks for the replies! Finally had to make a decision and decided on Mayakka River Motorcoach Resort, based mostly on location. The campgrounds seemed to be equal in terms of amenities but Riverbend was a little more remote. I guess we will find out if we made the right choice next year, cant wait!
