RV Friendly Gas Stations along I 25 in New Mex-I 10 to Phoenix ?

Hi we are looking for RV compatable gas stations in NM 1-25 from Raton to Hatch, then Hatch to Phoenix on I 10. Seems to be plenty of apps but difficult to manuver through each one. I have the Pilot/Love apps.
Thanks so much!

Use google earth or google maps satellite view and look at gas stations along your route. Verify you can get in, out and manuever plus any other factors.

You need to be able to do this otherwise you'll get hung up somewhere.

I generally use Google satellite view to scope out the more accessible stations. One I can recommend on your route is a Phillips 66 at the Santo Domingo exit between Albuquerque and SanteFe. Easy in and out with pump islands parallel to the road and huge parking lot. Out in the middle of nowhere so no urban traffic. I only remember it because we met up with some YouTubers there in 2022.

We had no problems getting gas for our 38 foot Class A gasser and towed at the following:
Marathon at I-25 & US85 in Truth or Consequences, NM
Maverik at I-10 & Tangerine Rd just west of Tucson, AZ

RV Life Trip Wizard will show locations of gas stations all along the way and it's easy to use Street View to verify which ones will work for fueling Class A gassers.

There's a Flying J at Exit 24 on I-10 (Lordsburg, NM) that has RV Fuel Lanes. Also, be aware that your GPS will likely route you on the Hatch Hwy (NM-26) SW from I-25 to I-10. It's good highway and saves you miles vs. taking I-25 all the way to I-10

Near Springer - Truck Stop at NM 56

Loves near Las Vegas

Flying J and Loves on I-40 just a few miles west of I-25 in Albuquerque. Flying J is worth the extra few miles.

Never found a good one near Soccoro or Truth or Consequences

(Not on your route, but the Loves west of Las Cruces is 85 feet of length at gas pumps. Pilot in Las Cruces is a unhitch the TT and take the truck to the pumps location. Pumps parallel to highway - 165 feet clear space, but so busy it is hard to get in line without blocking the trucks headed for the diesel pumps in back)

Deming Valero between Hatch Highway and I-10 has 65 feet of straight room at end of row pumps.

Flying J on east side of Lordsburg has good RV lanes, plenty of parking in the auto area for RVs, and a good Denny's. Always our lunch stop.

Benson, AZ - Loves on SE corner of junction of I-10 and AZ-90 has 80' of length for RVs at gas pumps. Nor the one of the SW corner.

The Pilot's in Phoenix are worthless for RV's. The one at S Craycroft/ Exit 268 has a decent RV lane, but the location is so crowded that if the RV lane isn't empty, there is no place to wait for it to clear. No parking at all for a 50 ft plus long total length (35 ft class A and 15 t toad) My pickup/ TT was 65' long.

Eloy, AZ has a great Flying J. I always park in truck area behind Denny's. Almost always a pull-thru available.

I will use RVTW to identify locations and use Google Earth measurement tool to ensure that I was able to fit.

I keep a separate spreadsheet of fuel stops possible in almost all the states. Mark the one's I've found acceptable with a rating from 1-5 (barely usable to great)

I absolutely HATE Van Horn TX. Pilot is horrible. It's a unhook and go to gas pumps with truck location. Loves on east side of town is barely usable.

One factor I've identified as important over the past 10 years. How busy is the fueling location.

Locations close to the main roadway are often crowded. And lengthy line of unhappy truckers trying to get to the pumps. Had one trucker actually get out of his truck and tell me off at Flying J in Lodi, CA. Another one in Newburg, NY and another in Tyler, TX tell me dropping the TT in a truck spot so that I could get into the gas pumps wasn't allowed.

Off the interstates, I usually look for gas stations with pumps parallel to the road. Those have a longer in and out.

Always very important to fuel, then clear the pumps for the next customer. Gas stations need their pumps busy to make money. Parking next to the pump for a potty break, lunch, etc - keeps the station owner from selling any gas, and makes customers choose to go to another station.

It’s funny how this is also an issue for those of us towing with EV’s. Generally speaking most of us towing with EV’s are towing smaller trailers. But it is still a concern. The charging industry is adapting and making more trailer friendly chargers but right now it is still sometimes a challenge. Technology marches on.

There is also a nice Maverik just north of Las Vegas, NM.

There's no reason you have to limit yourself to Pilot/Loves.

In RVTW, I can zoom into a general area in certain states and type a name like Maverick, City Market Fuel, Murphy USA, Exxon, etc, and there will be a list of locations in view with those names.

Very useful for me in some areas. Takes a bit of practice but is workable. Then go to satellite view or Google Maps for details.

NOTE: I use fuel points from various grocery stores to get better prices than Loves or Pilot in locations where I'm staying a couple weeks or more.

Costco saved us a lot on gasoline in California. They haven't started to block off their fuel lanes to make RVs hard to impossible to get to the pumps, like Walmarts are doing.

Along I-10 between Deming and into Arizona are a few Bowlin Travel Centers.

One at Gage, NM - west of Deming at Exit 62 Gage Station Rd and one west of Willcox, AZ at Exit 322 North Johnson Road. They have national brands gasoline.

Really, they are classic 1950's tourist traps with a full store of various items. But a decent place or a stop. Plenty of parking, good clean restrooms, great access to fuel pumps. True the prices are a bit high, but if you NEED fuel at that point, and option.

They also have some along I-40, maybe I-25, but the company website does not list their locations.

Gosh... along the interstates is where truckers stop for fuel. We never had an issue pulling into them with our 40' MH.

Fuel Station App

We use “iExit Trucks.” It shows location, price, hours, types of fuel, and truck accessibility. It also shows food availability at each truck stop, hotels, and service repair locations.

With the MH I normally picked my fuel stops a day in advance using the Gas Buddy App, then use Google Maps Satellite and Street view to see if I could get in and out. I normally don't travel more than 300 miles a day which makes advance planning easier. Gas isn't too bad now but when it was $4 + a gallon I spent more time choosing where I fueled up.

Diesel isn’t much of a problem. Those of us with 30’ gas motorhomes with a 16’+ of towed behind us are the ones getting squeezed by the typical modern gas station design of only 20-30 feet of turning clearance on each end of the islands
