Hi radarboy,

Consider going to these sites:

RV Lots 4 Sale by Owners -
RV Property

All have lots for sale in a variety of resorts. I'm still looking in the south east. Mostly in the Smoky, or Blue Ridge Mountains. Looking for a resort at a high enough elevation so summers are cool. About 3K' above sea level should do it.

Wow! You're tough. Out West we always looked for 6,000'+ & preferably 8,000' elevation to be cool in summer.

We can second what X-OEM posted above. Staying at The Palms in Yuma now. Nicest place we have seen. Will come back next year. When you purchase the lot for 40k, you OWN the dirt. It is not a lease. HOA dues are about 150/month. Our electric has been a 100/month. Great place....and cheap Meds and glasses in Algodones, Mexico about 20 minutes away.

Cypress Trail in Fort Meyers Fla has lots for sale. They are not a class A only.
It is a fairly new facility. We visited friends who were staying there last year, and they were still building lots, guessing it is done now.

Hi PanJH,

If you are talking to the OP they have an Airstream. Thought Mountain View was Class A only. If you are talking to me, I've been there two times. I do not like the road in. Didn't like it on the way out either. If I am going to stay at a place for 6 months of the year, there needs to be a wide variety of things to do. For me, Mountain Falls does not have this.

Many lots for sale in east Yuma (Foothills). Many are set up for two RV and may include a casita.

I did some research on some of the RV parks in Arizona and they have restrictions on size (most at least 25'), type (no Class Bs) and other restrictions.

I ended up buying a manufactured home on 2 acres in Jamestown, New Mexico (near Gallup). This suits me a lot better. No HOA rules either. And, it cost a lot less!

If y'all don't mind me asking for the ones that own lot's and renting them out are you making a profit from the rentals or is it better not to rent it when you are not using it

I own a lot and a 736sf home at Lake Osprey RV Resort in Elberta, Alabama. This is just a short distance from the Gulf coastline and Orange Beach, Alabama.

I don't rent mine, but other owners do.

Edit: I just reread that the OP has an Airstream. Lake Osprey is restricted to Class A, Class C and fifth wheel RV's only.

Forget about making a profit. Renting only helps to reduce your expenses. If you are lucky it will offset your taxes and HOA fees.
