RV Park at Joliet, IL Casion?
Has anyone stayed at the RV park attached to the Hollywood Casino in Joliet, IL? Any problems getting into the park or with the park itself? We are 41' long and pulling a towed and this will be the first time trying this location. Thanks!

Stayed last year. I can't remember anything that would be a problem. You go by the hotel going in so could unhook toad there but don't think necessary. Check it on Google satellite

We stayed there two years ago. It is a pretty plain parking space but site access was fine. Ours had a large mud puddle alongside the exits due to rigs being dragged off the edge by drivers that needed a skills tune-up. Our 43 ft rig (not counting TOAD) had no issue. Registration was being done at the registration desk in the lobby of the hotel. The sites do not have individual dumps - you use a common sani-dump behind the hotel.

You should have no problem. I stayed with a 36' rig and toad and had plenty of space. It was no more than 25%-30% full so we had our pick of the park.

We stayed overnight a couple of years ago with a 45' and towed. A little tight, but it can be done.

Just in case you can't stay there, check out Leisure Lake CG
We stayed there when we visited our youngest daughter and family. It's located in the SW corner of I 80 and I 55.
The underpass one-lane "tunnel" under I 80 will startle you at first but there is adequate clearance on height and sides. When you approach the "tunnel" have you lights on bright, it helps any oncoming traffic see you before they too enter the underpass.

Thanks everyone for your helpful comments. We stayed at the Hollywood Casino RV Park and will definitely stay again. We did not need to unhook our towed vehicle as we had a pull thru site. There was a nice long concrete pad, a paved area for the picnic table, good electric and water. There is no sewer connection at the campsites but an easy to use dump station behind the hotel. Also they provided a free hot breakfast for the RV park patrons as well as hotel guests from 6:30 to 10:00 a.m. When we were there that included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, pancakes, coffee and juices. It seems to be used by people in transit with a few longer stay units. Definitely a good spot to stay at when in the Chicago area.
