RV Parks - Ft Meyers/Tampa area?

We have been staying on the East Coast of Florida for the past 4 years and now the park is raising it's rates and time to find a good park on the west coast. Can anyone suggest any good parks around Ft. Meyers or any park south of Tampa that don't cost an arm and leg. This would be for Jan thru March. Any information would be a big help

Hi garyclegg,
Consider Upriver RV Resort | Camping, Fishing, Boating, amenities, and more in Fort Myers, Florida It is in North Ft. Myers just east of I75.

We are in Upriver now! I recommend it. Not sure what an arm and a leg totals, but they are within the norm for long term costs. The folks that come here year after year will keep you busy with things to do as they do a lot of volunteering to keep events coming. We enjoyed the Kayaking trips, golfing, and bowling leagues. DW also used the various exersizing classes. There is a county park adjcent with walking paths as well as a location on the Caloosahatchee River. Ft Myers/Cape Coral has all kinds of attractions as well as Spring Training if you are into baseball. It has SW Florida weather as well!!!!

We are hoping to become full timers within the next 5 years. We want to become Snow Birds in the Fort Myers area. Any suggestions for nice RV parks in the area?

There are a lot of options. It may be better if you research and ask about a specific park. They all have pros and cons.

We stayed here this spring and really enjoyed it...

Great sites, nice clubhouses. A shade far out of town but really 30 mins to downtown Ft Myers.
