plymouth tom-

First off, welcome to iRV2!

Second, you should add a "signature" to your profile. It contains whatever info you want; most people put info about their coach there, so they don't have to type it into each message. Instructions for adding a signature are here.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood is convenient to Jerome, Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon and Clarkdale, each with its own attractions. When we were there in 2015 we had a water-electric site and used the central dump station for sewer. I don't know if there is a limit on coach length there.

Last month, we stayed at Distant Drums RV Resort in Camp Verde and loved it – it is a first class place with good amenities and is super well maintained. It is about 35 minutes to Sedona and even nearer to Cottonwood and Jerome. If you like gambling, the casino is just across the interstate. And the best past it was only $40/ night compared with $76/night at the much less nice Rancho Sedona RV Park in Sedona. If ever in the area again, I will stay there. Here are my blog posts with more campground details and pics.

Rancho Sedona is very nice and accommodates your needs. That is it for right in Sedona. In Cottonwood there is Rio Verde RV Park and also another newer one on the road between Cottonwood and Clarkdale (not 89A, the other road-i don't recall its name). In Camp Verde there are Distant Drums and Verde Valley RV Resort. If you need other Sedona advise feel free to PM me. Hope this helps.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park is beautiful. Our 38' DP fit just fine with room for the toad. No sewer at sites, but there's a dump station. Reservable online.

Rancho Sedona is a terrific resort IF, you can secure a reservation and IF they have a site large enough for your 45' motor home as the larger sites are limited in number.

With a toad, the other sites suggested are all good, IMO, and a short drive to Sedona. We stayed at a new park, Verde River RV Resort last year, right off the 260 in Verde Valley. It was just opened and was still being landscaped and not all sites were open. IMO, it would, eventually, become a first-class campground, so by now it may be that way. I will offer it up as a suggestion without knowing it's present condition, but the potential was there. The owner has several other parks in other states and wants a first-class experience.

For campers interested in fraternal organizations and the good things they do for our communities the Elks, Moose and Eagles clubs often have RV parking sites at their lodges and the charge very reasonable rates averaging about $25 per night. The Sedona Elks has a reasonable site (angle, no sewer) right in town.

I personally like the charities supported by fraternal organizations because most of our charitable dollars go to help the people in need, not to salaries and overhead.
