RV Parks with/near Biking Paths

One of my favorite things to do while RVing is biking. The Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores Alabama is probably my favorite location for biking. The DW likes it since is basically flat, she doesn't like hills. Anyway, I would like to know some other good RV locations that have paved bike paths connected to or within a short distance. Prefer paved since we have road bikes and not mountain bikes. Thanks in advance.

Boyd Lake State Park in Loveland, CO is one of my favorites. Trails connect to park and go all over town. Some are bike lanes on streets, but many are paved stand-alone trails.

In Georgia we have the Silver Comet Trail (which is a really great paved trail from Atlanta to the AL state line) and there are RV parks near. I'm not familiar with them, but some research should give you some RV park names.

Petoskey or Traverse City, MI, has a fantastic bike trail - 30+ miles.

Hilton Head Island, SC. The HHI Motorcoach Resort sits right on some of the most extensive bike paths anywhere. The majority of the south end of the island can be access by bike trail. Hundreds of restaurants, shopping, the beach is 12 minutes away, several grocery stores, bikeshops, you name it.

Research the Silver Comet Trail in GA - 100 miles long - then look for RV parks.

Chickahominy River Park, New Kent County Virginia. Relatively flat paved bike trail along senic Route 5 from Richmond Virginia to Williamsburg. Also mountain biking at York River State Park and Freedom Park nearby. Colonial Parkway, Yorktown, also nice.

Try Fountainbleau State Park on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, at Mandeville, LA.... the biking trail cuts through the park just inside the front gate. If you visit this area, remember to stop at Liz's Where Ya At Café....a memorable experience in itself.

Another we just found is Katy Trail in Missouri.... this trail follows the railroad bed across central Missouri for many, many miles. There is a Katy Trail State Park, just out of Hermann, MO.... another place that should be on everyone's must visit places. If you will google Katy Trail, you will find several RV parks along the trail.

Best wishes, and travel safe..

Here's the interactive Iowa bike path map:
Iowa DOT - Mobile Bike Map

There are many RV parks and campgrounds along the paths but a couple come to mind. At Griff's RV park the path runs right by the park, is paved and flat and runs 25 miles in one direction and 3 miles in the other. It is a converted RR line and is very nice.
Griffs Valley View RV Park

The Saylorville Recreation Area (COE) has campgrounds that the bike path runs right through them. The bike path is paved and goes from Big Creek State Park in one direction to downtown Des Moines in the other. This is very secluded, runs through Corps and State property and goes along the Des Moines River.
Facility Details - PRAIRIE FLOWER RECREATION AREA, IA - Recreation.gov

Happy riding!

Canyon RV Park in Yorba Linda CA. It has the 25 mile paved bike path to Newport Beach. Not sure how far it goes the other (inland) direction.

x2 on Fountainbleu good trail and nice park especially sunsets on the lake. Florida has many great biking trails, too many to recommend, there are many websites devoted to them, check them out.

We weren't camping, but we recently stayed on Sanibel Island in Florida. The entire island is very bike friendly (all paths paved) and there is a campground available.

There is now a bike path that pretty much goes from Key Largo all the way down to Key West. Any of the campgrounds in the Keys is easily within reach of this bike path. I use it all the time to get around Big Pine Key.

Sentinel Peak RV park in Tucson is about 3 blocks from "The Loop", a very long dedicated bike path that runs around most of the perimeter of the city.
