I Googled "rv campgrounds near San Saba" and the closest I could come up with was around Bend, TX. A state park there and a couple other campgrounds on the Colorado River.

Thx we are going to be attending a sporting event, so would like service and something not far off the beaten path. But not on a main loud stretch of road. Concerned about Bend being tucked up in there and coming in late on Sat night. Thx for the help.

Hi all

First timers here. Wondering if it is practical to camp for 3 nights without sewer hook up. Just the 2 of us but don't know if we can make it that long with black water and grey water capacity on our 35 QBA tiffin. Any guidance would be appreciated.

There are a couple of places over in Bend you might check on
- Bend is about 15 miles from San Saba on the Colorado River - out in the country - and very basic parks - nice scenery with river frontage and very quiet

Barefoot Camp & RV Park - website link - Barefoot Camp and R.V. Park
This one has 38 pull through sites - I believe electric only at sites, not sure if park has a dump station -Central showers & restrooms in the RV area - paved road to park but park road & sites are unpaved - this park is located on a working cattle ranch

Sulphur Springs Camp -website link - Sulphur Springs Camp - Bend, TX - Home
Little harder to get to - Park is about 5 miles off FM 580 on unpaved road with some steep sections - park road & site unpaved - water & electric @ sites - park has dump station

Do you know what your tank capacities are? Three days should be no problem unless your black tank is very small but you can always conserve a little. Do the "Yellow, its mellow; brown it goes down" for the biffie, and take Navy showers (turn water on;get wet; water off; soap up; water on to rinse). Just realize you can't let the water run like you do in your stixnbrix and you should be fine. We would typically go 10 days for 2 people on our 30 gallon black tank without really conserving, maybe half that time for our 40 gallon gray water.
