RV Rentals Near Kanab Utah?

Hi everyone, I’m new to this group and this is my first post. If I’ve posted in the wrong spot, please point me in the right direction.

My wife and I are located in Atlantic Canada and are avid RV’ers. We are planning a trip to the Kanab, Utah area in May 2019 to do some hiking. Due to time and distance restraints we won’t be driving and taking out travel trailer. We’ll be flying into Vegas and driving to wherever we decide to stay. We’re looking at Airbnb and VRBO places, but our ideal solution would be to stay in an RV in a local RV park. We’ve looked into Outdoorsy but the RVs available there are more geared for people traveling around. Ideally we’d like to find an RV set up in an RV park that would could rent for 6-7 days.

What we don’t know is if that’s even a thing? Do people rent RV’s like that? If so, any suggestions for how to go about finding such a rental in this area?

Thanks all, looking forward to hearing from you and learning more.

Welcome to the forum.
I think Google search may be your friend here. You might also look at RV park reviews www.campgroundreviews.com and look at the campgrounds in the various places you are wanting to visit. Many of them will offer cabins or RVs to rent on site as well.

Kanab is near Grand Canyon North Rim and they have cabin and lodge rooms... probably pricy though but by the time you rent a RV that can be pricy also. Good Luck.

If you like animals a 'must do' is to pay a visit to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary nearby. It's an awesome no-kill facility in beautiful surrounds.

Kanab is also the place to get in the daily lottery for hiking The Wave - only 10 people are picked per day. When we did it one May there were over 100 folks there and we happened to be two of the selected ten. It's a gorgeous hike but take more water that you can imagine.

Also, if your plans are to visit the national parks in the surrounding area such as Grand Canyon North Rim, Zion, Bryce it just might be worth it to get a room at each place rather than driving the distances, especially if you plan to do a lot of hiking which will take up your time and energy.

Have a good trip!
