RV Resorts with National/State Park Setups??
Are there any RV resorts that are setups similar to national, state or COE parks? We don't care about a lot of the amenities that the RV resorts have. But we will want full hookups. We like to have a little space with trees plus we want more space between us and our neighbors.

This is a question I have posed on this forum a number of times.
What a great paradox it is when the government does a better job than private enterprise, and in CG setup the differences are all too obvious. To be fair, at least most private CGs keep up with the trends and offer big rig and pull thru sites but stacking everyone on top of each other... well, it's not my cup of tea. We always strive to to stay in NP/SP/CP CGs as a result of this, unless we can find a pvt C g with space on each side and a bit of privacy. The reviews are ok but a lot of people will recommend a CG even if it is tight and lacks privacy.
We use the Allstays app and GoogleEarth to size up a place first. We never make reservations at private CGs, unless we are certain our requirements can be met. That way we can drive thru first to make sure it will work for us.

RV "RESORTS" implies high end amenities. Look for RV campgrounds, or rv parks, when searching directories.

Some of the state parks in Ohio have nice full service sites. West Branch in NE park of the state comes to mind. The park was re-built about 12 years ago adding about 30 full service sites. Most are back in, about 6-7 are pull-thru. All of them have a lot of space between sites. In WV. I heard Stonewall Jackson State park is a nice place.

Sorry, you can't "buy" a state park site.

Duh - but I sure wish I could. Where we are at right now I am looking out the door at a beautiful lake.

Look at wilderness rv in silver springs (Ocala) fl. Their preserve section has large sites that face Ocala national forest and the Ocklawaha River.

That is how I feel at some of the Northern PA. or VT. State parks we visit.
Stayed at a few private CG's being packed so close together you could here people talking in the RV next to you.
There was a nice private CG near us we used to go to, where the new owners plowed all the trees down in once the spacious water and electric sites and turned them into double the amount of full service sites. I now call it a parking lot with a little grass.

RV Resorts with National/State Park Setups??
We have not seen the sites you desire in private parks. We found an alternative!
When we were young, we bought 40 acres of woods and boondocked on it for our vacations for many years. We all loved it. Our kids learned a lot about adapting and improvising during their formative years, and lots of wild game, wild berries, and trout fishing kept us entertained.
It was very cheap! Much less than buying just a site where you cannot choose your neighbors. Yeah! We had our own monster park.
We could have set up F/H/Us, but simply did not require it.
Then, retirement and the freedom to go anywhere. Being tied to the same space gets old and boring for vagabonds, adventurers like us. We don't boondock anymore.
We now stay in RV Resorts where the weather is good for about a month at a time. And it is up to 25% less than a state park here in AZ.
But, State Parks, COE, and Nat'l sites are still high on our list. Not many with F/H/Us but we are happy with it.
Many aquaintances have bought RV Resort sites, but such folks seem to not travel much, and either keep the place forever and never go anywhere else, or sell it in a year or two only to buy another one.
Just not how we roll.
Happy trails!

There are many state parks and COE parks that have full hookups with lots of scenic space around you. That's what we use. You don't have to stay in an RV park to get full hookups. There are even some forest service campground with hookups - and national parks, too.

Yes. That's the short answer. I see by your post script in a subsequent post that you are looking to buy a campground. As It turns out, the campground I am currently staying in fits your description, at least in part, and it is for sale, the owner retiring. It's called Sylamore Creek Camp. The owner, Guy Harris, is currently on vacation for a couple weeks, I've been told. Email is scc@mvtwl.net, phone 870-585-2326.
On a related note, in speaking with Laurie, one of the owners at Ozark Country Campground in Branson, MO, about how she came to be an owner, she mentioned she attended some sort of seminar about campground ownership which was given by a company that brokers campgrounds. Perhaps something like that would be of help. Ozark Country Campgrounds. Perhaps she could direct you to that company and maybe others like it.
HTH.
