RVing in the New England area
Hi all!
We are planning a trip to the New England area in the late summer to RV around for 2-3 weeks and visit family. I'm not certain what the local accommodations are in the area and possible rental RVs. Are there plenty of dump sites? RV campgrounds, etc? Any you recommend that are nice?
I don't really know the lay of the land so any advice would be appreciated. We'll be traveling from North Shore Boston to NH coast to the White Mountains and Franconia. We haven't reserved an RV yet. We're looking at owner/rentals.
Thanks in advance.

From my planning for a fall trip, don't expect to be closer than about 25 miles to downtown Boston. I have two separate reservations north of the city in October because one of the state parks is closing for the seaso - Harold Parker State Forest. Sites have water and electric and there is a dump station on site. We also have 3 nights at Winter Island Park Campground. It is located close to Salem. It is also w&e only but the dump site is not located within the park but nearby at a local water treatment facility. There are a couple of commercial parks located outside the 495 loop. What used to be Minuteman, now Spacious Skies Minuteman is located to easy access, either driving or train into the city.

Glenn Ellis in NH is a great place. Right next to North Conway with tons to do locally. Campground is in excellent condition and easy to navigate.
Normandy Farms is the only luxury resort we have up here. It located in Foxboro MA. I have been here since last Thursday and will leave this Friday. We enjoy coming here because there’s a lot for the kids and it’s close enough to home we can go back and forth.
If you are doing Maine, Old Orchard Beach is a must. The 3 main campgrounds are located on a trolley line that will bring you downtown. We didn’t even bring the toad here.

In the White mountains in Lancaster, NH is Mountain Lakes RV park

We have stayed here several times It has become our go-to place in NH. Close to the Presidential range and Mt Washington. Lots to do in the area and the RV park is extremely well kept.

I think the rental campers stay on site, but I am not sure. If you go there, eat at the Lobster Pool, drive along the coast (Manchester-By The Sea to Rockport), take the Seven Seas Whale Watch Tour, shop in Rockport.
K ok
We ate Lobster Rolls and Seafood at 3 places. Lobster Land is near the park. It was the most expensive and the Lobster was not as good as the other polaces we visited. It is more formal than the other restaurants we visited. We had to eat in the bar because we did not have reservations.
The Lobster Pool was fabulous. They have both inside and outside dinning.
