S/W Idaho to Nashville around Oct 15th
Opportunity just came up to meet up with former neighbors/great friends in Nashville in mid Oct '18. We're in a 40' DP with full sized P/U in tow. Looking for route suggestions just to get us on the right track. We're new to everything East of Idaho. Have MANY miles under my belt from big rigs to our coach. No time limits other than meeting up in Nashville mid October to play for a few weeks with our friends. When those few weeks are over, I may be looking for an interesting route back to Idaho before it's time to pull out the flannel.
As usual, we thank you for anything & everything, good or bad, that we may get from this great group. Safe Travels my friends!

Have a look at this post I made suggesting a route to Tacoma from Georgia. Throw out the parts from Georgia to Nashville and from Idaho to Tacoma and you got some ideas to go on.

Would something like this work - https://binged.it/2QNUQH8 - Threw in Flaming Gorge and Dino NM to get you down to I-70 and Colorado would Jump off to drive RT 6 into Golden then threw the city on East - lot's of option on non interstate roads - But - Avoid rush hours in All Big Cities - Look for State Parks and Reservoirs for great CG's on the Way.
TS guys need to stick together -
Hope this Helps,

I just made a similar trip this last spring--helped a friend move to S.C.
For a STRANGE sight----I-80, Exit #29 at Dix, Nebraska. Just to the south of the exit (150 yards?) is an active Minuteman missile silo. We drove right up to the fence, took photos, waved at the security cameras, laughed at the sani-hut (held down with cables to keep it from blowing away), and drove off. We were hoping Kim and Trump were friends while sitting there.
Erie would be a term to use, but the power and destruction sitting about 75 feet from us was something.
Not certain if a class A would turn around at the fence, but it's just a few yards off the road, if you wanted to walk it.
Note, there are several old sites visible from I-80, you just have to research them.
Have a great trip....

Got great directions to Nashville-Now Recommended Campgrounds
We don't care about being right in the middle of things in Nashville, but we do enjoy nice clean campgrounds. Be it resort type or just camping. Give us the good & the bad. Once again, please help steer us in the right direction & thanks so much!
Thanks so very much,
Craig & Janelle
