Salt Lake City
My wife has flown to San Jose CA for a week to get a medical checkup & visit grandkids. I'm looking for a quiet location, solitude, TV reception and good AT&T reception.
I've tried Antelope island and the flies were intolerable!! (I left after 30 minutes).
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

There is an RV Park in Layton and one at the Lagoon Park in Farmington. Hill AFB FamCamp if you are authorized.

We have stayed at the Utah Lake state park in Provo a couple of times. It's a nice park with nice level pull through sites (loop style), and plenty of room. I think AT&T was good but I can't comment on the tv reception

Wasatch Mountain State Park has some ful hookups sites in the mountains near a golf course. Jordanelle State Park has some full hookups near the Jordanelle Reservoir. Deer CreeK has some full hookups in its Chokecherry campground above Deer Creek Reservoir. That order is my preferance assuming you want/need full hookups.

We stayed at the KOA just off of I-80. I don't recall problems with ATT or over the air TV.

The SLC KOA at 1400 West North Temple is not scenic although it has plenty of trees and the usual KOA amenities (FHU, pool, small store, etc). There is a light rail stop right outside the campground which is very handy for getting around the city.

I like the SLC KOA as well. We stayed there for several weeks a few years ago. It would be a fine place to be left alone in quiet and solitude. And as a bonus, it’s just a few blocks away from the Red Iguana, a real Mexican restaurant well worth visiting.

We just sold a house in the SLC area, and we stayed at the KOA on North Temple for almost 3 weeks while waiting for miscellaneous things to happen. The sites are large and grassy. Surprisingly there was very little noise and their WiFi actually worked really well! It is very handy for getting into the city since the light rail system, Trax, has a stop right at the entrance.
