Nothing scenic about going through Salt Lake on the 15 freeway. Construction forever. Looks like Los Angeles or worse. I did it twice and won't do that again.

I came the other way once. From Grand Tetons to Salt Lake City. I remember going through Logan Utah to Bear Lake in Idaho and then over to Wyoming and then North. Gorgeous way to go,

From Salt Lake City you'll want to get on I-80 east to Evanston, WY and head north on 16/30/89 into Jackson, WY. A very pretty drive.

Straight up I 15 to Idaho Falls east to Jackson through Swan Valley or go over the Teton pass, then north to Grand Teton!

Seriously Get the Heck off The I's - this is a Vacation and you want to see the Tetons! Not the route anyone else will recommend - but just might be the Best!
Head to DuBois, Wyoming and on to Jackson Lake. I cannot tell you how many times I have been to the Tetons - but always from Jackson or Yellowstone Last Summer we were coming into Wyoming and thinking of heading to Cody to get to Yellowstone, but I had heard about coming into the Tetons on RT 26 - Beautiful Drive and to see the Tetons as we crested the Divide was just Special. just a special Drive I'm betting you will never forget.
MAP - https://www.bing.com/maps?osid=33c70...=2&form=S00027
Would love to post a few Images we took along the way But they are on the DW's Camera - so you are stuck with the one from the Lake.
Hope you try it,

The most scenic is hwy 89, but very mountainous, so there are some steep, winding sections. The WY route through Kemerer, Big Piney and DuBois is almost as scenic and an easier drive with both mountains and high prairie.

Would make it easier to recommend if we knew more about your rig...turns out it’s a F150/TT. Normally I’d recommend 89 all the way and you definitely do not want 22 over Teton Pass so X2 on I-80 to Evanston, WY and 16/30/89 to Jackson.
If your destination is closer to Moran than Jackson, I would do the Evanston, Lander, Dubois/26 route.

Rig is a f150 w/3.5 ecoboost, tow package pulling a Lance 1985 TT. I have been thru many passes and the 3.5 does not an issue with altitude..

OK - Think we have given you all the Practical options - What do YOU enjoy?
Easy - Map to Alpine - follows the river, so is actually really easy to drive.
https://www.bing.com/maps?osid=897c2...=2&form=S00027
As Ivy said - Don't Do RT 22 - 10 % grade both sides - It's a Haul, sure you can make it but there will be a long line of unhappy drivers behind you by the time you crest the Top from Victor.
The route I suggested earlier - Dubois - is likely a good bit longer - makes us smile as we will normally run By Dino NM and Flaming Gorge NRA on the way - Both just Special, especially if you Like Rivers or the Water.
Dubois - Map - RT 26 over the Divide. -
https://www.bing.com/maps?osid=fb718...=2&form=S00027
If you have time to Kill - spare - Tour - then Dubois is Awesome as a route. Alpine Route is Easy and still Beautiful, just I've done it many times and to see the Tetons as you crest the Divide is just Special for Me.
Few images to help with the Decision -
Dino looking at the Green River and the CG.
On the Beach in Flaming Gorge - we love the Water.
Dubois - for me the Red Rocks were a Surprise - just a sample.
As we made the Crest - through the clouds and the Windshield, the Tetons!
