San Tan Valley AZ

Hi. I am looking for a quality gated RV Resort for over-wintering near San Tan Valley, AZ. Would be great if it was primarily an RV Resort as opposed to a Park Model resort with RV's mixed in. Am also interested in heated pool, opportunity to bicycle, pickleball, shuffleboard, paved streets and sites, etc.. And golf is a must. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

San Tan Valley is a bedroom community. You need to look in Florence or Apache Junction area.

I'm not going to be much help as when we visited the greater Phoenix area we always stayed either at Lost Dutchman State Park or one of the Maricopa County parks.

If you want to do things in the area I'd recommend you skip Florence - nothing there but the penitentiary but there is a RV 'Resort'.

In the Apache Junction area are mainly older RV 'Resorts' but they will have Park Models. There are three parks in Gold Canyon area - Gold Canyon RV, Canyon Vistas and Arizonian. I know nothing about them.

I've heard that Eagle View RV near Fountain Hills doesn't have Park Models but it may be too far for you. It sounds like you may be visiting people in San Tan Valley because of your preference to stay nearby.

Good luck! Hopefully, someone can be of more help.

Mesa or Apache Junction will pretty much be the only choices. Good Luck.

Most RV parks in Mesa have a mix of RV spots and park models. We are at Val Vista Village, gated, 4 Pools, tennis, pickle ball, etc. About 1500 total spots. Live music 6 days a week and plenty to do. Skip

Thanks everybody. I will start to check out all suggestions. We do have family with a place in San Tan Valley so would like to be as close as possible.

Suggest you look at RV Park Reviews. I live in Queen Creek which is immediately north of San Tan Valley. Skyline RV Resort is probably the closest to San Tan Vly, the other one is Indian Skies Resort in Coolidge. That is south of San Tan Vly. They both have Park Models, most do here in the valley. Also check distances between your family and the Mesa, Apache, Gold Canyon alternatives. My guess is they will all be within 10-25 miles.

Thanks Ron. My sister in law in San Tan Valley is going to check out Skyline. It has good ratings in RV Park reviews but only 1 review. Will check into Indian Skies.
