Sanford, Florida

I plan to be in the Sanford, FL are in January 2017 and am looking for campground recommendations. I've checked several reviews and they seem to be mixed. This is a work and pleasure combination trip and the job is in Sanford so being close to there would be preferred. Looking forward to any ideas. Thanks in advance!

We were in Sanford in December 2015 watching our granddaughter play in a soccer showcase. We stayed in Wekiva Falls RV resort. We stayed in Space 595, although the space was grass it was OK for what we needed.

Have not been there but it is supposedly ok. This is where La Mesa RV in Sanford recommends people to go when they are shaking down their new rigs.

Are you spending time in Sanford? How far away would you feel is comfortable? There is a place probably less than 30 min away called The Great Outdoors, which is an owner/RV resort operation. There are some other places near the beach too like Jetty Park in Cocoa Beach.

Wekiwa State Park is very close. Nice sites. check RV Park Reviews. Also, a smaller Volusia County Park on the St. Johns River, Lake Monroe County Park: Lake Monroe County Park - Debary, FL - RV Park Reviews

Lots of parks along the St. Johns river.....minutes away from downtown Sanford.

Blue Springs State Park. A little further from Sanford.
Where the manatees keep warn in the winter!

Unfortunately Wekiwa Stpark is closed until November 2017 for upgrades. Blue Springs however is a very nice place. Pretty sure it is not full hook up.
