Santa Barbara, Ca. - Arrive at midnight & spend the night

Is there anyplace in the Santa Barbara, California, area I can stop at for the night around midnight? My wife and I will be attending a wedding in Santa Barbara, California, in our motorhome. The wedding is at a golf course and we can't spend the night there because they lock the gates and they don't want anyone locked behind the gates.

Thinking out of the box, you might call the university security office about one of the sports venue parking areas.

There are campgrounds in the area, so I am assuming you are just waiting till morning.

If you are coming from the North, there is a campground in Buellton, which is not very far (about 40 miles) from Santa Barbara, and it's just off the 101. There's also a rest area south of Buellton on the 101. Otherwise, at midnight, I'd just look for a quiet street nearby and park for a few hours.

There are a couple of CA state campgrounds around Santa Barbara. Not sure if they would be full or not. One is called El Capitan State Beach and the other is called Gaviota State Park. There are others too. Just look up CA state parks near Santa Barbara.

Some of these may have a size restriction fo 35 feet or so.

You can park in the Sears parking lot according to my husband. Exit La Cumbre Road.
