Just got an email with the following:

At Hunting Island State Park:

All campsite reservations will be cancelled and refunded through Sunday, May 21, 2017. Oceanside campsite reservations will be cancelled and refunded through Sunday, December 31, 2017.

At Edisto Beach State Park:

All campsite reservations in the oceanfront campground will be cancelled and refunded through Thursday, August 31, 2017.

This has to be due to Hurricane Matthew!!!

I was planning a trip to the East coast next spring and I have concerned about what got damaged and what did not.

Come to Myrtle Beach State Park in Myrtle Beach, SC. They are open.

As is Huntington Beach State Park which is just down the road from MBSP.

I had two reservations at Hunting, both are now cancelled.

We went for 30 years and an canceled because of Mathew. Reservations were getting to be such a game to get. Beaufort is a special place for us and we will always go to the shrimp festival. Sad about the storm.
