Seeking info on RV park cooperative, lot ownership
We are looking for an RV Park in Florida which is resident owned, mid range and may also have RVs to rent on owned lots. We are heading to Florida and hope to find an opportunity to rent an RV on a lot which is in a coop park. We would like to try the experience of this type of living in Florida for a few months a year. If we were apt to purchase an RV LOt/ and a new RV or even a manufactured home option, we would want a situation where we could rent our lot out, and possibly our RV as well.
Thank you, we are avid RV folks as we own a new 18 foot Lance, and we have an Adirondack Seasonal site as well.
Again, thanks for the info!!

Probably not going to find that.
https://www.tgoresort.com lots are totally resident owned and governed by zone and park wide rules/HOA's/Condo rules; everything from lots to large, sticks-and-brick homes and all manner of in-between. 5 star place. Due/fees are cheap, but lots are pricy.
Lots of places let you "buy" a lot but I'm not sure you actually get a deed.

Why don't you go with your Lance and stay in a park. Then you'll be able to scout the areas. Stay in different areas of the state to find one you like best. There will be parks all around you to explore wherever you are.
Or... spend a season in motels and drive around looking at RV parks. The key is to move around the state; don't stay in one place. Each part of the state is completely different.
I sure wouldn't buy into a park without doing a whole state exploration.

Just wanted to add a note about renting you lot/stuff out....
Basically it is a no-brainer to rent during the Jan, Feb, Mar season. Folks are always looking. Oct, Nov and April not too hard to rent out, but not as easy as the winter months. Almost no one wants to rent from May to Sept/Oct.
Be sure to check local codes about renting your lot/camper. Some require 6 months or more or you have to charge (and pay) taxes (sales/tourist). Some require stays of a certain length, don't allow VBRO type short term (daily / weekly) rentals. It varies all over.
An example of RV lot ownership / rental is Sun Outdoors in Sarasota. It is a county requirement that you can't live there more than 9 months in a row (even if you buy a lot/cottage) and then have to move to a different location (outside the park) for 3 months.

Check out Holiday Manor or Enchanted Shores CoOps in Naples Florida.
I know Holiday Manor has at least one rental RVs and a few rental spots.
