Separate Storage

Greetings Fellow RV'ers

While I am planning to embark on my maiden voyage for my trip, I do have a separate question. I am taking a year sabbatical to cruise the continental west. Once I get into the Seattle area, I was planning to fly to Alaska to see my boy who is in the Air Force. What does one usually do with the rig? Can the campground store it for a reduced rate? Are there places elsewhere where it can be stored? I guess this could be typical? Mighty obliged. Cheers

some rv parks may well offer short term storage so I'd start making some calls. if a park doesn't offer that service they may well refer you to one that does. if you strike out on that many of the Public Storage facilities around here offer space for RVs. it's likely the same out there. again, a phone call may yield the info you seek. also consider Camping World and other RV dealers. of course you could always just take your RV up to Alaska.

You might want to consider leaving it at a site with hookups. that way you can leave heat or ac on, etc. Again this depends on weather at the time you will be doing it, length of trip away, etc.

You could check long term parking near the cruise ship docks where lots of cars are parked while owners cruise to Alaska

We were able to leave our RV at Issaquah Village RV Park nearby Seattle for a few days while we flew to Victoria, BC a few years ago. I'm not sure how long we could have left it (with full hook ups) and we had to pay full price even though we were gone. I'm not sure if they have any storage or what they would do if you were gone longer, but you might give them a call.
