Snowbird planning next winter

Staying in Florida this season. Looking to stay in Arizona then head back to Green Bay areal in April 2019.
Where would you stay for a month plus in Arizona or?
We have a chocolate lab.
Stayed at one park this winter gets a little boring. Looking to explore more.
36í bounder towing.
Thanks!

A lot depends on what you like to do and how far you are willing to travel to do it.

We like Casa Grande which is about 45 minutes from Phoenix and 65 miles from Tucson. Apache Junction and Mesa are closer to Phoenix and the Superstition Mountains. The Yuma area is popular.

If you want to play in the desert, the Quartzsite area is *very* popular.

We hop around AZ a week at a time and explore about a 75 mile radius around us. A week stay either boondocking at times like Quartzsite, or doing the resort thing. To the latter a week stay does normally give a discount to daily use. look ahead and plan reservations if there is an event in the area of interest, we seldom make reservations beyond a couple days in advance. Fellow RVer's are a great source of where to explore next.

Islander Resort!!!!! Lake Havasu, or Pirates Den south of lake Havasu on the Colorado river....Maybe Vista Del Sol Bullhead City, Wahweap campground on Lake Powell, Rancho Sedona RV Park in Sedona....all wonderful places with lots of different things to do

Regarding reservations in AZ, February is generally the busiest month in a lot of the RV Parks/Resorts - the one we are in had the no vacancy sign out for most of the month. March is generally no problem.

We've stayed in every Arizona state park over the years. They're all great, especially Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction where we volunteered. Also, we enjoy the Maricopa County Parks of the greater Phoenix area. Lake Pleasant, Cave Creek, McDowell Mountain, Usery, White Tanks. All are very popular places and have a 2-week limit. You could move from one to another and test out the different areas.

Just a note about Vista Del Sol in Bullhead City AZ. We have been here for the last 2 mos. Very nice with all amenities and close to shopping, etc.The park is high on a ridge. The wind is the problem. Seems to blow most every day. And it is strong, gets to you after a while. We are staying in Bullhead next winter but at a park down by the Colorado river. Much calmer winds.

Yes it is windy there but the place is clean, and shiny new with nice amenities. We are coming that way next week and wondering how busy it is at this time? Been there a few times and never seems to be too busy and was thinking of showing up without a reservation.

No problem getting a site. Park is about 1/3 empty. (30 sites).

It's called Colorado River Oasis. Right on hwy 95.
They only have 27 sites so hard to get in there. Most RVers staying there are repeat customers. We lucked out as we were inquiring when someone said they could not be back next winter. Older park so not as nice as Vista Del Sol but much more reasonable price wise. Bonus is the river and private beach.
