South Central / Central (ish) New Mexico in July

Hello,

Looking for recommendations for a July 2016 RV trip to New Mexico. I'll be meeting family that will be traveling from the Dallas area; I'm in the Los Angeles area, so hoping to find something about 1/2 way in between.

I'd like hook-ups, at least electric and water. If no sewer, then a dump station nearby.

At/near a lake would be nice, if not, then near something interesting.

Also hoping to find somewhere we won't roast!

I welcome any suggestions.

You need cool and higher elevation temps because southern and mid-New Mexico can get HOT.

Look into Ruidoso - it's filled with Texans all summer. Circle B RV Park is nice.

Other 'cool' spots would be further north around Santa Fe or Taos/Eagle Nest/Red River. Santa Fe Skies is very nice.

Twogypsies is pretty well spot on for New Mexico in July. I live in south central NM and we can be looking at low 100 degree temps that time of year.
