South Texas RV resorts for winter
We are contemplating heading to Texas for Feb and Mar (and maybe April). We have a 2017 36' Winnebago motorhome. Preferably somewhere on or near the Gulf. Any suggestions on some places to stay? The will be the first time we have gone somewhere in the winter and looking forward to it.

We boondocked a bunch last winter in South and west Texas.
Did a couple weeks on North Padre Island..
A couple weeks at Big Bend Nat. Park.
A few weeks in the Hill country of Texas..
All different and all interesting.

I suggest mixing it up a bit so you can see the different areas..I haven't been to the gulf coast area of TX yet but hear it is very good. The RGV around McAllen has many RV parks which may not be full this winter with travel between the US and Canada restricted. Hit Victoria Palms (Donna Tx) at least for a week - it is a large resort with beautiful pool, hot tub, club room etc. not sure how much of it will be open during the pandemic. Since coming from Indiana, come down to Gulf Shores Alabama and work your way over to TX. The Fairhope area and Gulf Shores area is very nice.

Don't pick one park for 2-3 months for your first try. You may not like the park or the area but then you're stuck. At least choose 2-3 RV parks in different areas or cities or even in different states.
We've been to both Alabama and Texas and we really enjoy Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores, Alabama. Typically, state parks only allow 2 weeks but this one allows all winter season stays. It's full of snowbirds. It's right on the Gulf with beautiful white sandy beaches. The town itself has a lot going on and many good restaurants. You can even ride a bike into town. You can get fresh red shrimp right off the boat. Lots to do in the immediate area.
For south Texas we liked Rockport. It is a lot less congested than the Rio Grande Valley - RGV - farther south in Mission, Harlingen, etc. (which is no valley by the way) The 'Valley' is extremely crowded.
Texas has some very nice state parks, also.

So far no one has mentioned Corpus Christi and the surrounding area, including Port Aransas and Rockport. There are quite a few excellent parks in the greater metro area. Temperatures are a bit cooler than the RGV but they are still a lot warmer during the winter than in many other places further north. Corpus is a city of ~325k which means it had decent shopping, restaurants, etc. (of course, assuming that any of this exists after the COVID-19 crisis).
