If you are asking for a place to stay in SoCal...I just left a place called Penchanga...It is a Indian Casino. Their RV park is about as nice as you can get...all spots are large, clean and quiet. About every 1/2 hour the casino bus drives through, if U want to go to the casino or dinner. At least once an hour security drives through for security. They have the cheapest Diesel in the area. It is separated from the regular gas pump also.

That's the one right off the freeway as you head north toward Santa Barbara?

Nice place, but expensive and very noisy due to its locale adjacent to the freeway. Also it's a really bad place to be in an ElNino year because of the Santa Clara wash on its south end. It's even destroyed at least twice, along with most of the RV's that were there at the time.

I 'get' the whole beach thing, but if you want a little quieter, look at Travel Village in Santa Clarita, KOA in Santa Paula, and El Capitan in Santa Barbara. Note that there are two El Capitan's: one county, and the other which-end RV park. Also further South on the coast there is Malibu RV park...

There are lots of state and county parks in the area, but if you are in the area anytime it's warm, it's a fight to get in anywhere. And places like Carpinteria sell out 7 months in advance almost year-round.

~50 mile North there is Flying Flags in Buelton. Very nice and less crowded than the beach. Solvang is down the road too.
