I'm sure Lori (NLOVNIT from the Columbus area) will see this post and might know about it. In what part of the state is it located?

If you're talking about the resort on Middle Bass Island, I haven't been there. It looks fairly new. MBI is a heavy tourist area in the summer time - lots of places to drink & party. Probably costs a pretty penny to get your RV across on the ferry, though.

Great thanks for the info! Going to call the ferry company and ask them about prices. I have a 30ft TT.

Haven't been to South Bass Island SP either. That CG does have about 10 fhu sites that would fit your TT though. Depending on when you're going, can be booked up. PIB is a very popular destination so the 6 mo window for reserving sites is necessary.
On edit - a quick check of the ODNR website for SBI SP shows it's booked, except for a couple sites here or there, until the end of August (6 mo reservation window)

While at East Harbor SP. back in 09' we took a day trip with our bikes over to South Bass Island and Put-in-Bay. The state park campground on South Bass is a party place on the weekends. A lot of collage kids. The sites are rather tight. Yes, there are a few full service sites. It was easy to bike around the island. Its about a 1/2 wide and maybe 2 miles long.
If you have a RV I think staying on the mainland at East Harbor SP. is the way to go. East Harbor SP. is a rather large park (500+ sites) divided into sections. Section "B" are all pull-thru sites and are very large....Most of the sites in section "C" are 90 degree turn in and on average are very short. Here are few pics of East Harbor and PIB The boat dock is a short drive from EH SP.

About 12 miles. East Harbor is on the mainland. If you go to the ODNR State Park map, EH is #18 & SBI is #59.

If you take the ferry over, you can take your car, or your bikes, our rent bikes or a golf cart once you get on the island. The ferry drops you off at the far end of the island (southwestern corner) where you can rent all these forms of transportation....The state park is in the northwest corner about a 10 or 15 minute bike ride. From there you can ride along the northern shore road to downtown Put-in-Bay. About 20-30 minute bike ride with a few small hills. Downtown has many restaurants, bars, shops....A nice city park. Then you have Perry's Monument which you can take a ride up to the top for a birds-eye view of the island. The eastern corner of the island is all vacation homes. On the way back ypu can take a different route and go past 2 caves. One is called Crystal Cave the other Perry's Cave Here is a link to many pixs Put-In-Bay

I'm liking all of this info! I will do some more research tomorrow and I'm sure I'll have a few more questions.
