St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, FL

H all! The DH and I just spent the last week at the St. Joseph state park in Florida. We loved it. Camping is on the end of the peninsula and that makes the sites super quiet. We had site 106 in the gulf breeze area. It was a good site but a little hard to get into with our 26' TT. Once we were in we loved it. So private. The site was electric and water hook up. There is a dump station as you leave.

The beach was absolutely gorgeous! It was very calm and only a few people on the beach. The most people we saw was at sunset. And I would say 15 people were on the beach taking pics.

We rode our bikes and saw a bunch of wildlife. From crabs to squirrels. I would highly recommend visiting st Joseph state park. We Loved it!!

Ps this was our first long road trip in the TT. We made it from northern IN to FL. We stayed at Northgate RV park in Athens, AL. The guy there was super nice and it was the perfect place to stay for a quick overnight stop. It comes with water, electric, and sewer hook up. So we stopped at 7 ish and made dinner in the camper.

Now that we are back home, we are already planning our next camping trip so we can mark some more states off our USA map. Lol

Here are some pics of our trip! First is our site. Second is our awning in our spot. Third is looking out the back window of our spot. Fourth is the walkway to the beach.

We're heading there next week, currently at Anastasia State Park, St Augustine.
We were there in December and about half froze to death, but loved St Joe Peninsula State Park we vowed to come back when it was warmer. Supposed to be in the 80's next week. It is a super park.

St Joe SP is one of the best parks in FL, or any other state for that matter. Absolutely beautiful and MILES of pure white sand empty beach to hike on. The only negatives I can think about it is that all the sites are w/e only and it is a long drive to town to get to a super market. But, those are minor compared to the great things about the park.
