Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose is about 45 minutes away.

The original Hard 8 Barbecue is in Stephenville and is some of the best anywhere.

We often dined at the Hard Eight near DFW airport in Dallas when we lived in the area...it's is among the best BBQ I've ever had anywhere in the country.

If you have never eaten at Hard Eight, it's a real dining experience. Just don't wear anything you can't get BBQ sauce on...
