Bob,

Google shows Cave Springs City Park in Arkansas. Since you mentioned hwy 370 did you mean the 370 Lakeside Park in St. Peters or are there two Cave Springs City Parks?

That’s the one. Nice big park with lots of room around units. Also nice shower house/ laundry.

With the highest violent crime rate in MO and ine of the highest crime rates in the US be sure you are vigilant

Dont leave you RV unattended unless in a secure camp ground

Two friends had break ins and the guy with the RV blog had his door bumped and broke in there

CV is very bad there now as well with the vast majority of CV cases
.

Be careful

I stayed at Casino Queen with my kids a few times and looked at it from a different perspective - a lesson in how to be street smart for some kids who grew up in a VERY rural area that was extremely safe.

We walked to the train station (1/2 mile across the casino parking lot) always focused on our surroundings, bought our tickets without flashing your cash, rode the train to the Arch while watching your back, we even went to a night game at Busch Stadium and road the train back. It all went safely and my kids learned lessons in diligence and awareness!

my wife and i have stayed at Casino Queen for a single overnight on a couple of occasions but never left the property. i'd say you and your family were very lucky to have dodged a bullet...literally.

Depends on how "near" you want to be to the city. Babler SP, as mentioned is nice and not that far from downtown. Jellystone Park in Eureka, MO is also relatively close.
But if you're willing to drive a hour, Hawn SP is really hard to beat for beauty. A nice quiet park outside of Ste. Genevieve. It is one of our favorites.

I went to college in Newark, NJ and spent much of my professional career in NYC so I’m adept at dodging bullets!! [emoji28]

Thanks all!

We opted to go with 370 St. Peters RV Park. We'll teach our kids about the "adventurous" parts of St. Louis another time!
