Sunshine Key Question

Anyone know when the "summer program" actually kind of ends at Sunshine Key? We are considering a week or two there at the end of October/ first of November timeframe.

Any first hand knowledge would be appreciated!

This Sept/Oct will be our 2nd year of spending these months at Sunshine Key. The year before we spent Oct only. The summer program starts tapering off in mid Sept. And seems to be pretty much over in Oct. The winter residents start arriving during Oct.

The summer program is no issue at all. Most of the participants do long weekends and are from the greater Miami area. Many are Cuban/Americans and we found them to be great folks.

Hey Steve,
thanks for that input, just what i was looking for!

We were there in late Feb/early March 2 years ago and thought we had missed an evacuation call with so many of the snowbirds leaving on March 1.

We enjoy the keys in the fall though, of course keeping an eye on the weather.

Maybe we'll see you there in October.
