Teton NP Campgrounds

We were hoping to stay at Colter Bay RV Park, but their website states a max. combined length of 45' for RV and tow truck. It appears that all the RV campgrounds in the NP also have that 45' maximum. Are there any campgrounds in the area that can take bigger rigs.

We've stayed at Gros Ventre in the park with our 40' MH & Jeep and also Colter Bay campground; not the RV park.

In 2016 we stayed at Colter Bay with a 38' fifth wheel and long bed crew cab b.c dually. No problems

We are at Headwaters/Flagg Ranch right now. Our 38’ Renegade and Jeep Gladiator fit fine in our spot (#522) with some room to spare. Plenty of other large rigs as well.

We drove through Colter Bay on Tuesday just to check it out. Not sure I see the attraction- the spots didn’t seem very level and it felt ‘crowded’. We both like the Flagg CG better.

Granted, there’s no lake here and fewer amenities, but fewer people as well.

YMMV...

We stayed in the RV park this past July with a 43' 5th wheel and F450 dually. Could park in our site uncoupled without issues, but the truck was parked perpendicular to the camper. Site 486, for what it's worth.

Most all of the sites seem to be around the same length there.

Maneuvering a rig that big was the real challenge, we literally only had a couple inches to spare making the cut into our site off the side road.

Walking just a few dozen yards down to the edge of Jackson Lake with my folding chair every morning, to have my cup of coffee and read the paper, with the majesty of the snowcapped Tetons laid out directly in front of me, will be a memory I forever carry.

It was an awesome place to stay in the park, would 10/10 stay there again.

I am aware of that. Figured they might be interested since they were asking for recommendations ďin the areaĒ.

I stayed in Site 410 for 4 nights in late Aug this summer. The sites definitely vary, with some >60' in length.

Site 410, for example, is 65' long per the "Allowable Vehicle / Driveway Details" section of the description on recreation.gov. But only ~40' of it turned out to be level once we arrived.

We managed, though. As you can see in my photo, I had to park my pickup within my camp area a bit once I had the RV situated on a level portion of the site. No regrets. Campground has some snug turns but very doable with your rig.

Yes, that is magnificent view and I agree itís a special place. Itís almost as nice as my view as I floated down the Snake with a flyrod in hand!

Neither my wife or I was overwhelmed by the campground though. Not saying I wouldnít stay, just not impressed.
