My route is to go to Birmingham, Chattanooga, Knoxville, then get on I-81 and take it all the way to Binghampton, NY where we will get on east I-88, then get on US 20 to I-87 north and get on Hwy 7 east just above Latham/Troy, NY.
We'll take Hwy 7 to VT where it becomes Hwy 9 then it becomes US 202 then take I93 north, then Hwy 104, then Hwy 25, then Hwy 113 to Tamworth, NJ (where we visit relatives). Then we go on to Boothbay, ME.

It seems like we are wriggling all across the northeast, and I guess we are, as a lot of the route after Latham/Troy, NY is state highways and such. But we won't incur tolls and will see a lot of scenery I assume (we have never been in the northeast).

Since you are in a hurry I assume you will be sticking mostly to interstates. I may want to do that on the return trip, so can you provide a summary route plan for your trip?
Thanks,
I have no idea which route we would take, I would like to avoid as much traffic as possible, I can handle the rig ok but I am very new to driving a 43 foot motor home. We are open to any and all suggestions on routes, campgrounds, things to do and see, thanks.
