We did a drive through of Long Beach couple years ago. Looked like a homeless camp.

Florence and Newport have a decent Old Town to spend some $$$ in. Our two favorite feeding holes in Newport are Restaurant Newport Oregon | Seafood - American | Best Top Rated (Seafood Diablo!) and https://lucky-thai-elephant-restaurant.business.site/ Not fancy and decent price.

Florence has a good selection of food in Old Town and a casino just west of town if that is your thing. The got the "free" RV parking too.

You gonna go west of florence you better have a special rv that can tread water really well[emoji15]

We spent 5 days each at South Jetty, Whaler's Rest, Pacific City, Seaside, and Paradise. Satellite TV is problematic due to trees in all the parks; Verizon cell coverage was decent in most places, while AT&T was non-existent in some (I don't recall which ones now); all had decent internet service through their wifi in the lodges.
