My wife and I are looking for a campground around the Titusville area for a couple of days after the Daytona 500. We have a 40' Class A MH pulling an enclosed trailer. Any suggestions?

We just stayed in Christmas, Florida at the Christmas RV Park. There were four of us is various size rigs from 40ft down to 33ft, all motorhomes and all towing. We had no problems at all. Just be sure and let them know your needs when making the reservation. The park is about 7 miles from the freeway going west. I believe it was $28 a night.

OH I forgot to mention Great Outdoors right off the freeway also going west. We didn't look at their overnight sites but did see their home, RVport area. Nice but....

Try Seasons In The Sun in Mimms FL exactly 1 exit north of the TGO exit.

Thanks to all who responded. I'll be checking them out and would love to hear from some more satisfied campers.

My wife was wondering if there's anything close to the coast, or is there a particularly nice beach anyone could recommend?

Seasons in the Sun is a nice place to park and you can go to the beach if you have a car ...

We went to the 500 bck in '98. Stayed at Outdoor resorts in Titusville. Traveled back and forth to the Bush race and 500. Left about 6:00 AM on morning of 500 and parked for free in mall across from track. Very nice park (RV Resort) and not a bad trip. Some NASCAR activies (haulers, show cras, etc.) in the area.

Willow Lakes in Mims just north of Titusville. Very nice resort. Much smaller than the Great Outdoors. All the usual amenities. Clubhouse, pool, and an executive golf course. Very nice.

We stayed at Outdoor World Resort 2 years ago during the summer. It was pretty quiet. The rental site was concrete, and well manicured. The pool was clean. I am sure it is real busy during the winter.

Seasons In The Sun has a good rep. We stayed at Great Outdoors for the last shuttle launch, was very nice. Christmas is about 5 miles west of TGO on rt 50. I would think that the area will be tough to get a site as it is the height of the season, get on the phone and call around.
